Marc Gafni & Epstein Sabbatean Connection

Consequences of Boundary Breaking Going Too Far

In Part 1 of our Marc Gafni series, we began uncovering the hidden roots of his teachings—particularly their connection to the Sabbatean lineage and the way spiritual language can be used to disguise deeper distortions.

In Part 2, we go further. We explore the depths of Gafni’s relationship with Aubrey Marcus and how closely their work has been intertwined, including Aubrey’s role in publishing and promoting Gafni’s ideas. We also look at Gafni’s disturbing connection to Jeffrey Epstein, and his public response to Epstein’s death, which offers a window into how he frames boundary-breaking behavior as a form of spiritual liberation.

From there, we step back and examine the bigger picture—how this same pattern of distortion shows up in our world today. We unpack the “playbook of infiltration”: beginning with genuine suffering, rallying movements around compassion and inclusivity, then gradually blurring boundaries and shaming dissent until darker agendas slip through unnoticed.

This episode is an invitation to look deeper, to question what we’re being told is “for our liberation,” and to practice the discernment that helps us recognize when true awakening is being twisted into something else.

Takeaways:

  • Marc Gafni openly claims a connection to the Sabbatean lineage and positions himself as carrying forward its work.
  • His close association with Aubrey Marcus, including book publishing and shared platforms, raises questions about the integrity of spiritual leadership and influence.
  • Gafni’s public response to Jeffrey Epstein’s death reveals a disturbing tendency to reframe harmful actions as “misunderstood” or spiritually justified.
  • The idea of “eros as liberation” can become distorted when used to excuse boundary-breaking and harmful behaviors.
  • There is a recurring “playbook of inversion”:
    • Anchor a movement in real suffering.
    • Rally people through compassion and inclusivity.
    • Gradually blur boundaries and expand definitions.
    • Gaslight or shame those who question the narrative.
    • Introduce increasingly destructive taboos under the banner of liberation.
  • Compassion, when manipulated, can be turned into a tool of control, making people afraid to question or speak out.
  • True spiritual awakening requires discernment—seeing both light and shadow clearly—so we don’t confuse distortion with liberation.
  • Facing darkness directly, rather than denying it, can be deeply empowering and helps us reclaim our voice and inner authority.
